Professional Patent Drawing Training Program
Overview
Desillus Solutions Inc. offers a comprehensive Online & Offline Patent Drawing Training Program designed to help participants develop the skills required to create professional patent drawings that comply with the standards of major patent offices, including USPTO, CIPO, PCT (WIPO), EPO, JPO, and CNIPA.
Through instructor-led sessions, practical demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, participants will learn patent drawing standards, AutoCAD techniques for patent drawings, and best practices for preparing accurate, publication-ready drawings while avoiding common drawing errors.
The program is ideal for patent drawing illustrators, mechanical engineers, CAD designers, industrial designers, engineering students, architectural students and inventors who prepare their own patent drawings. Participants should have a basic understanding of patent applications, as the training focuses on patent drawing standards and practical illustration rather than patent drafting.
The training is available in both online and offline formats and includes practical assignments, real-world examples, instructor feedback, and a final project. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Dipika Shaw is a Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in patent drawing illustration. After relocating to Canada in 2017, she began her journey as a freelance patent drawing illustrator and founded Desillus Solutions, which was incorporated as Desillus Solutions Inc. in January 2021. Since then, the company has become a trusted provider of patent drawing services, serving more than 80 clients worldwide.
With extensive experience preparing patent drawings for major patent offices, including USPTO, CIPO, PCT (WIPO), EPO, JPO, and CNIPA, Dipika has developed a strong understanding of international patent drawing standards and best practices.
Passionate about sharing her knowledge, she developed the Desillus Patent Drawing Training Program to help patent drawing illustrators, engineers, CAD professionals, and inventors develop practical skills in preparing accurate, patent office-compliant drawings. Through real-world examples and hands-on training, the program equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to produce high-quality patent drawings while minimizing common drawing errors.

Patent drawings play an important role in communicating an invention or design clearly and visually. Creating professional patent drawings requires not only drawing and visualization skills, but also an understanding of the applicable drawing standards and the requirements for different types of patent applications.
This training program is designed to provide participants with a structured introduction to the field of patent drawing illustration.
